Dorji Dhradhul
Former Director-General of Bhutan’s Department of Tourism, Author, and Sustainable Tourism Advocate
Dorji Dhradhul is a Bhutanese leader in sustainable tourism, public administration, and cultural writing. He served as the Director-General of the Department of Tourism (formerly Tourism Council of Bhutan) from 2019 to 2024, where he guided Bhutan’s tourism strategy and global promotion under the “High Value Low Volume” model. Before this, he held senior civil service roles including Governor (Dzongda) of Gasa District, founding Director of the Department of Agriculture Marketing & Cooperatives, and Registrar of Cooperatives in Bhutan. He has authored several books and articles on Bhutan’s culture, mindfulness, and sustainable development, including *Escapades Awakening* and *Bhutan – Kingdom of Mindfulness*.
